Hi Everyone!!
Welcome to Painting With Words.

Painting with words is a platform where writers and readers could express their emotion in the form of poetry. Everything we say, write or listen will impact ourselves or others. With that being said, I believe in healing through words. Even though words can inflict pain, but it also can heal, inspire, comfort, soothe, teach and encourage.

Moreover, healing through writing happens when people learn about themselves and open up to the healing power of within. (Pennebaker JW, 1997). Each one of us will go through difficulties. Every experience in our lives will make us wiser. Sharing how one goes through problems could also help others.

Additionally, sharing healing openly can open a path for us to live our lives better. Writing your own affirmation is incredibly empowering when you choose the words that resonate with why and how you want to heal. Reading and repeating are steps we must take to feel and be better because we’re literally speaking our truth. (Williamson, 2020).

Why is this important?

Our mental health affects how we think, feel and act. That is the main reason for the creation of Painting With Words. I want people to know that they are not alone. Nobody has a perfect life. Despite whatever you are going through, you are welcome to express them in the form of poetry.
